The Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens, Councillor Ciarán McQuillan, has expressed gratitude towards the community for their generous support at a recent charity coffee morning in Dungiven. The event, benefiting MindWise and NIKPA, successfully raised over £600.
The initial gathering took place at Dungiven Library on 1st February, delighting attendees with a selection of homemade bakes and sweet treats. In his remarks post-event, Councillor McQuillan attributed the event’s success to the enthusiastic backing from the community. He extended a heartfelt thank you to contributors, whether they donated food or simply attended the event. Special thanks were directed towards the Dungiven Library staff for their warm hospitality and use of facilities.
A follow-up coffee morning is scheduled to occur on 15th February at Coleraine Town Hall from 10 am to 1 pm. On this occasion, the Mayor will be joined by Deputy Mayor, Councillor Tanya Stirling. Noteworthy at this event will be the presentation of two signed special edition t-shirts donated by Ballymoney road racer Michael Dunlop to representatives from both charities.
The Mayor highlighted the essential services provided by MindWise and NIKPA to residents of Causeway Coast and Glens, urging community members to support the cause on 15th February in Coleraine. For those unable to attend, donations can be made online by visiting the official council website.
